Dr Ian Gauci, Partner and Head of the Communications, Media and Technology Department at GTG Advocates will be speaking at the Blockchain and Bitcoin Conference Malta event taking place on the 7th of December at the Intercontinental Hotel in St. Julians, Malta.

The Blockchain and Bitcoin Conference is a series of international events spanning across Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kyiv, Stockholm, Tallinn and Prague, with the more recent addition of Malta. The conference will cover a myriad of topics, from ICOs to blockchain, cryptocurrency development, the regulatory development of this sector and the challenges therein, amongst others. It is expected to attract numerous entrepreneurs, investors, consultants and IT specialists working with blockchain and digital currencies.

The speakers at the conference are analysts of cryptocurrency markets, financial and legal experts, blockchain developers, representatives of start-ups and large companies that use blockchain technology, cryptocurrency and venture investors.

Dr Gauci will be participating in a panel on the legal and regulatory challenges of blockchain, the aim of which is to introduce the regulatory issues surrounding this topic, as well as the advent of Lex Cryptographia in this context and assess the effect of regulation on the existing ecosystem.

The conference will also tackle DCO and smart contracts, the challenges of intellectual property, the decentralised economy and its global role.
