
Gigi Gatt
Junior Associate
Dr Gatt joined GTG Advocates as a legal trainee in 2018.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (honours) degree in 2019 after successfully defending his dissertation titled “Do the existing laws cover smart contracts or do we need a new set of laws to deal with them?” and subsequently graduated with a Master of Advocacy degree from the University of Malta in 2020.
During his student years, Dr Gatt was elected for two successive terms (2016-2018) in the executive board of the European Law Students Association (Malta). He filled the roles of Vice President for Marketing and Secretary General.
Dr Gatt’s main areas of focus are maritime, aviation, data protection and civil law.
Dr Gatt is fluent in English, Maltese and has a working knowledge of Italian.
